Heredity explains about 50 % of a person's pedilecton to addiction for alcohol n. Native people and the disparities that they experienced in term of alcohol related deaths, are entirely attributable to genetics. There is not much strong evidence showing that native peoples are at any way higher risk of developing an alcohol s disorder or developing harm from it. And i think may be most important of all, that those could in no way explain the enormous disparities that were seen in terms of harmful outcomes.
