The Struggles to Take Indians Forward

In the late 19th century you have these very fine liberals like Naoroshi, Gokle, Ranadeh Agarkar and so on whom we now collectively call as moderates because they were moderate in their methods. I'm sort of struck by how one can look back at all of them and find them ineffectual but it's still an interesting battle to take Indians forward. There is a very clear racial divide within the British Empire itself which is running through right you know the great African American thinker W.E.B Du Bois talked about the color line girdling the globe right and it definitely girdled the British Empire.
