The goal is to drive consumption down by getting people to be afraid. And does it work? Well, certainly appears to be working well. The fed put isn't just real, it's enormous. If you believe that over the last couple of years, all of a sudden, j powell's not your friend. Everybody who've piled in the self fulfilling prophecy in 20 20 is now piling out because they no longer have j powell to say, i've got the market supported. I think there's a lot more going on. We also know that central mages themselves know there's a much more going on and that they're not attempting to actually influence the economy, at least not directly
