Cryptocurrency - The SEC's Job Is to Promote Capital Formation
The SEC says that banks who want to offer cryptocurrency custody need to treat the customer assets as an asset on their balance sheet. Some banks are fighting back and trying to work to change this guidance. Other banks are just throwing in the towel. I feel like property rights are being eroded in this country. It feels like we're becoming Venezuela.
