The Indian Bankruptcy Code and the Real Estate Regulation Act

The real estate regulation and development act was passed in 2016. It requires all state governments to set up a real estate regulatory authority within one year's time. All real estate projects of a certain size had to register with the regulator. The act also allows developers to be penalized if they are delayed by more than two years.
