What Happened in St. Louis?
In 1980 St. Louis had 23, fortune 500 companies; they were 12 in 2017. In the late 70s and early 80s, politicians quietly overturned many of these anti-monopoly laws that had been in place for decades to protect smaller companies. This pattern of corporate takeovers affected everything from a local accounting firm which does some of their work to lunch spots everyone goes to. What always comes with that? What leads to murders, guns, and drugs? The difference is the guns. If I didn't live in New York City, I would own guns. We do a disservice if we don't mention the guns because it's so easy to get a gun in St. Louis
