The Evolution of Seagrass in the Bahamas

The majority of seagrass species look a lot like grass, even if they're from different families. They all tend to have rhizomes which are like underground stems and then shoots that come up off of them. But there are quite a few species that have slightly different blade shapes so seagrangodium,. the second most common species that I see in the Bahamas is, I would think of it as like chives it's kind of a circular blade. That grows up instead of being flat.
