What Do We Need to Do 24 Hours After a Marathon?

The delayed onset muscle soreness is going to kick in 24, 48 hours after a marathon. You want to foam roll, you want to have your spouse massage your legs, massage your feet and kind of get those muscles moving around. If you I'm not a big fan of getting a massage at the race massage tent on Saturday, maybe schedule one for Monday or Tuesday. Get a massage, splurge on that foam roll, foamroll, foam roll, using massage gun. Gentle soft tissue care will increase pliability of the muscles and stimulate more blood flow.
