What Is It That Makes People Good, Makes Me Bad?

The better a chess player is, the more likely their first candidate move is to be good. And so it seems as if basically stronger chess players just intuit the intuit better moves to begin with and then are able to like reason proportionally from that. But for someone who had basically never played chess before until he was 29, I'm basically just playing on intuition really quickly. So you know, you look at the board and you know that like, E4 might be a good move, and to start with, and I just obviously didn't know that.
