Namibia's Press Freedom Is a Good Thing
Namibia is ranked number one in Africa in terms of press freedom, says Shinovina Immanoel. The country's fishing sector and the country's international image are in the dock after a series of exposites on Swapu fishrod. In Iceland, the investigations were led by Ula Furapur Haoxon who made his name when he sent CEOs of Iceland's largest banks to jail following the global financial crisis in 2008. Namibian prosecutors have charged 28 people with racketeering, bribery, money laundering and tax evasion.
