Main Character Energy

I think a good main character should be pretty wide open, you know, they'll have certain traits that are somewhat immutable. But there's character development, there's plot, there's a hero's journey. I feel like our world is going to continue shifting the way we can ignore trying to position and place ourselves in society. And social media just makes us able to have tools to like, express and communicate deeper things.
