Green Hydrogen - The EU's Green Strategy
Bloomberg NEF estimates green hydrogen will be available at between 80 cents and $1 per kilo by 2050. Parts of southern Europe boast that magic combination of low-cost solar and wind resources required to get there. Northern Europe does not, which is why Germany is planning to import both clean electricity and green hydrogen. Green hydrogen based on renewable energy is not the only possible source of zero carbon hydrogen.
