The Dodge brothers were inseparable. They dressed even more identically than men of business usually did in those days and they shared the red hair that folklore ties to a quick temper. Horace was the slightly less aggressive of the two and his wife always blamed John for the scraps they got into but Horace clearly needed little encouragement. One time they smashed all the light bulbs in the chandeliers of the Cadillac Hotel. Once in a scene truly reminiscent of tombstone days John pulled a pistol on a saloon keeper and made him dance on top of his bar while using his free hand to fling glasses against a mirror.
