The gnostics were astral travellers. They went to the end, like plotinus. And you can glean rituals, as you can from the secret book of john. So the gnostics were going way out, more than anybody,. for complete liberation and obviously, to bring back these energies for transformation. After we die, like the egyptians, it was going to be the same journey that you had to take, same ritual, same magical spells for ultimate freedom beyond this world.
