China recognizes that while it certainly has long-term aspirations of reunification with Taiwan, that to accelerate the reunification through forceful means would really be an unmitigated disaster. So you would think that that view is correct and there are those who say it's not correct Xi Jinping is already listed at a date which is not correct of 2027 when he is going to make a move.
