The Great Society - Something to Love

The Great Society didn't like working with Sly Stone, because he insisted on them doing 45 takes to try to sound professional. Someone to Love was put out as a promo record, but never released to the jambal public. Grace's marriage to Jerry was falling apart, though they would stay legally married for several years. When she got the offer to join Jefferson Airplane to replace Signe Anderson, she jumped at the chance. Two months after the album they were back in the studio again, recording their second album and Slick sang lead on several songs there.
