The Problem With Satellite Trails in Astronomy
Astronomers estimate that a few percentage of every image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope has a satellite trail passing through. The new Virouban Observatory is expected to have about 30% of its images impacted by satellite trails. This technology will work for ground-based telescopes as well.
