How to Be a Successful Filmmaker

I grew up there and I got into acting and writing at a young age doing a lot of musical theater. And that sort of was the gateway drug for me into wanting to study film and theater in college. Being from, you know, not New York, LA kind of showed me a template of how you can tell stories about different regions of the country. They proved to be kind of a gateway drug into older filmmakers.
