There was a great, very scholarly senior monk who was a master of the novices there. And our rule was you have to sit still there for one hour at least, that's the minimum. You can't come away from the temple meditation hall before one hour is over. So if somebody thought, maybe I can go in a little early, take a quick 10 minute nap before the next thing which is chanting from the Upanishads or the hymns - he would turn around helplessly and say: 'What could you say? No word was exchanged, but everybody understood what was going on'
