The intimacy to which god callsus is a divine gift that transcend that whole line of sinking with too close and too distant. The problem is, we all have a home, but we are always absent. We have an address, but we cannot be addressed because we aren't home. It's not like a like, little balancing act whon we should not get too close, not to fire. But i want you to start sensing that the intimacy that god offers is not sort of a nice middle between two close or two distant. it's a being in god.
