What's the Future of Analytics in Football?

I think the thing that's really shaking up our understanding of football at the moment is the tracking data that's coming out. In the past physical data was something that was always confined to who's got a GPS unit on but now that we've got this tracking data done off broadcast vision it becomes something that's a really powerful tool. I don't know the answer as to how it's going to look in a couple years from now but what is really exciting is knowing that there's lots of really smart people across the industry trying to make sense of it and that it will change the way that we understand what a centre half can do off the ball.
