Growing Cells Isn't the Right Choice

The cheapest we could reasonably see these products go with real world constraing is 17 to 23 dollars a pound. Running the labs to grow meat is energy intensive, and unless it's powered entirely on renewable energy, the process is likely to be more carbon intensive than just raising cattle. At every step, there is a technological and biological challenge that makes growing these products affordable and in an environmentally friendly manner nearly impossible. I guess we'll have to move on to other solutions, like maybe those plant base burghers.
