Think Biblically: Conversations on Faith & Culture

CHAPTER

Is There a Lot of Geneside in the Old Testament?

Charley: I don't think there's a lot of geneside, technically, in the ancient erest. The one place you could make the argument is with religion. And clearly the old testament is opposed to cananite religion. So obvious example would be world war too. Wiping out the jews as a group is an example of janicide. Would you say janicide occurred in the old testament? Cause there seems to be certain commands like, wipe out the amelecites,. yet when you use the word genicide, a modern idea and bring it into the ancient eres, it's a bit difficult. But i don't mind talking about what i believe.
