Senators want the public to believe that if we just have more bureaucrats in charge of banks, there's nothing to worry about. Chances are the regulators are dumber than the people that they're regulated. So what job do you want? Banker or bank regulator.? If you're really smart, you can make a lot more money contributing to the profitability of your bank.
