The typical freight engineer conductor is on call 24 7 365 days a year. They don't know when they're going to work. And the pressure as we've lost people in the industry and we're doing more work with fewer people is enormous. It's an unsafe job and we're being asked to really do the impossible. We need to push to take this back into the hands of the public and run it just like we would the interstate highways of the airports so that works for the public good of all people.
