Even those who question Donald Trump have also come out to defend him. Ron DeSantis, he hasn't announced that he's going to run, but he's seen as Trump's biggest rival in Florida. Even Mike Pence, his former vice president, has come out against this case. As has Mitt Romney, one of the more sort of centrist Republicans who ran for president in 2012. Why are these people falling into line under Donald Trump when previously they would have actually criticised him? I would be careful with the phrase falling into line.
