The History of the Death Penalty

The Homicide Act was passed here in 1957, which limited the death penalty to certain types of murder. The first time in history, the American model of degrees of murder was ever mirrored here. In 1964, Peter Allen and Gwyn Evans were hanged. And those were the last ever judicial executions to take place here in Britain.
