Is the Grid Ready to Handle EVs?

Is the grid ready to handle EVs until there's such a time where they can majority be supplying energy back or is the grid okay as long as we're in this era of a one way street? There are experts who live and breed this every day, but when you spend time with them, they will tell you that the grid has cut plenty of energy that we need now. The problem is not do we have enough energy, it's do we have it at the right time? And that's the problem statement that we need to solve.
