Cinderella's Dad and the Passivity of a Big Ass
Cinderella's dad is conveniently killed, doesn't he, pushed out the way? What can we understand about how patriarchal power is operating in this story through the passivity of a bigger, Cinderella's dad? And Collusion too, definitely. He's always a slightly made comic, isn't he, Baron Stonybrooke? But I find it really interesting that I do have his passivity and his buffoonery,. because I suppose it is again a way of protecting the figure of the father from criticism - at least up to a point.
