The Declaration of Independence
The preamble to the Declaration of Independence doesn't have an unclear word on it. It has words which are complicated, but there's not a single one of them that isn't clear. When we ask what the Declaration means today, it means today, what it meant in 1776,. Why? Because human nature does not change. And fundamentally, the instincts that people govern their conduct by are not all that different.
