The End of Every Arm Is an Outcome
In this particular model, patients with pulmonary hypertension associate BPD were evaluated and treated by one or two modeled treatment. Patients in both treatment arms entered the model as premature infants in the neonatal ICU at a corrected age of 36 weeks. A positive screening echocardiogram was defined as a pathologically elevated peak pulmonary pressure based on a septal position or tricuspid regurgitation velocity.
