Are We Going to Figure This Out?

There is actually a class of interpretations called super determinism. We can have hidden variables that determine everything that's going on, but the price we have to pay is things that happen right here can instantaneously influence stuff arbitrarily far away. Are there experiments we can do to figure out which of these things are real? Or is it just going to rely on philosophers smoking banana peels and or?
