Fueling a Long Endurance Ride?

Arobic adaptations occur regardless of how we feel. Just because you're eating carbohydrates during a long endurance ride does not necessarily mean that you're going to negate any adaptations. If you can put out a little more power, if you can last a little longer by eating, you're actually going to get more adaptations. And i've seen a lot of athletes do this. You know, even when my athletes do this against my recommendations, usually burn out happens pretty quickly.
