purel does not work the way that like anti biotic soaps work. It's based on how alcohol affects bacteria, the physical way that t affects them. And while it is possible that some day. I guess bacteria could develop resistance to alcohol. A they have not shown a great resistance, a great ability to do it over the millennia.
