What Is Legalism?
Legalism is the application of military discipline to civil administration. It found its first real audience in the chin state, which was particularly militaristic. By about 250 b c, the chin had begun to gain an upper hand over other warring states. And so arguably it was only a matter of time until some ruler took advantage and pressed their advantages against neighboring chinese states to the east.
