The Hard Problem of Consciousness

No matter how much we come to know about the mind and its relationship to the brain, it seems that consciousness has a unique status. The hard problem is why isn't all of the mind like what's happening for you in the decoding of speech right now? Where the lights are not on, right? There's nothing that it's like to be that part of your brain.
