The Anunnaki Aliens That Came to Earth

There was something offered as to why they came back here. The climate is temperate and mining is good. Because if you try and mine on an asteroid, there's no gravity. And so since earth has gravity, it's much easier to mine for stuff. We get into the need for gold and shit like that all over again. If there was no gold on dragon world, they would have developed their own economic system where in gold wouldn't have been the basis for it. They wouldn't still be randomly coveting race memories of gold.
