What Is the Purpose of the Law?

I want you to hold your place in Proverbs but I want you to go for a moment to the book of Romans with me. What is the purpose of the law? So many people think, you know when I talk to them on the street about, you know, are you going to go to heaven when you die? They'll automatically go to the fact, well I try to keep the law or I try to do good. But what is the purposeof the law? Number 3 verse 19. Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God. Because by
