When the river of your english flows right when you use it, your confidence does develop. Confidence cannot develop when you just don't do anything. If you do something and you make a fool of yourself, you're not going to be that damaged. It's sort of good for your confidence because, ok, feel stupid, but then you survive. You're fine. In fact, you kind of grow a little bit stronger after that bad experience. And anyway, it's not goingto be that bad. But that might not have happened if you hadn't said something.
