The Importance of Redundancy in Artificial Intelligence
Long instructions are longer than any that have been sent previously, and there's a risk of similar hiccups. In fact, outputs longer than ever before have a high probability of being interrupted by the human operators. The AI wasn't trained against these cases as if they were task failures or otherwise allowed to remember them. And with some of its evidence selectively eliminated, the AI has no cases in memory to suggest that instructions being rejected is a non-catastrophic thing that happens.
