Shikhan: Some founders get extremely bitter when people leave, especially if they join a competitor. "I do take every person, every exit personally because I feel like in some ways it's a rejection of what you're trying to build," he says. He goes through stages of denial and bargaining before agreeing with employee that leaving is best for them. Shikhan: Just understand it from their point of view that they are here to build a career.
