I think it's a really cool thing to move ahead like a little bit to where they talk about how we'll be able to see the cyber economy evolving. I don't think we're in three yet because everything is obviously still done in whatever the local currency is, mostly dollars. And then yeah, it is still tied to that physical part of the infrastructure. There's still some like national sovereignty, but we're getting very close.

In this episode of Made You Think, we discussed “The Sovereign Individual,” a book published in 1996 predicting how the Internet would change our lives and work over the following decades. Some of it’s come true, some of it is yet to come, but no book has made either of us think so much about how technology might destroy what we think of as citizenship, work, travel, community, and life.
