The Swimming Pool by George Saunders
The only reason it didn't make it further is that it was competing with Liberation Day for my, is this a short story collection or what is this? And I don't remember. Is that called the swimmers? Yeah. You can imagine George Saunders having a similar conceit and doing really weird stuff with it, but I almost liked that a Tuka doesn't like she's just like, it's just a crack in the bottom pool that people start freaking out about. But Liberation Day, which did, yeah, Saunders just swings and swings and there's just so much and it's so interesting and fascinating oscillates.
