Is the Church Open to the Immaculate Conception?

In the liturgical rites of a eastern orthodox, eastern catholic church, am is a mesitis, which is mediatrix. Do you think that if the church defined mary as co mediatrix, that would further divide orthodox andme a good wife? i tend to think if there was a unilateral declaration of mediatrics, we would see some as father schmieman, the orthodox theologian of saint vladimir's, called it, an antioman reflexy sometimes.
