Seizures in the Frontal Lobe
In general, frontal lobe seizures have some overlapping features. The actual semiology will depend on which part of the frontal lobe is involved in the symptomatogenic zone. They tend to cluster and can have be prominent vocalization. Most commonly occur from sleep, although they can occur in the day. However, the actual kind of motor features we see will depend on what part of the brain is involved. If it's the primary motor cortex, then as Matthew described earlier, you might see a Jacksonian march where you see the seizure propagating through theprimary motor cortex. And that's a very, very, very localizing type of seizure.
