What's the Biggest Loss in Stock Trading?
The Stop Trading Uncongressional Knowledge Act of 2012 prohibits members of Congress from using confidential information they learn on the job for insider trading. Richard Burr, the same guy who was investigated for dumping a bunch of stocks in 2020, was one of the only senators to vote against the Stock Act back in 2012. In addition to banning insider trading, the Stock Act stipulated new rules for when and how members of Congress disclosed their dealings.
