Corulanus's Mother Is the Main Influence in His Life
corulanus, as kind of the next step in a roman patrician's career, runs for consul. This is all well and good, except that to do this, he has to soli the people's votes from the common people whom he despises. And he doesn't do a very good job at this; they get so angry that there's another riot, and they banish him. He goes over to the volcians and says, you want a new general? I can go and conquer rome for you. So he becomes friends with his arch enemy, talus ophidius, and leads the vulcians against ROME. The play
