The Pressure of Being a Russert's Son
When Tim Russert died, there was a lot of pressure on his son to succeed him. He says he felt that it was "divine intervention" for him to take the job at NBC in New Orleans. The competitive energy can wear you down and be destructive if not channeled properly,Russert says. His father would absolutely want to go out and beat you, wanted to rate higher, said Barrow's book is about dealing with those highs and lows.
