What Is the Link Between Sanitization and Disease?
There was a cholera outbreak that lasted two years, starting the year before this, in 19 forty eight. In england and wales, over 14 thousand people died during this outbreak. A guy named edwin chadwick was a social reformer at the time. And he was like, guys, there is clearly a link between sanitation and disease. But unfortunately, only very limited improvements were actually made to ventilation and drainage in the city. After he became commissioner, but he wasn't able to awhole lot.
