What Is the Difference Between Cohort Study and Case Control Study?
In a cohort study, you're looking at certain kinds of exposures that occurred to the patient. In an experimental study, the researchers are actively changing something for one of the groups and then measuring what the effect of that change is compared to a control group. A case control study works kind of in reverse. So you have your cases and you have your control so you've identified people who actually have the outcome. When the data is collected perspectively, you have a sense of the prevalence of disease.
